The Anahuac Panthers took on the Hitchcock Bulldogs in one of the final non-district games of the season. Eddie Muniz got the start for Anahuac, and pitched 2 innings allowing 6 runs (3 Earned). The Panthers dug themselves an early hole, going down 6-0 after the second inning. Solid hitting by the Bulldogs, coupled with a poor defensive performance, was the key to the early deficit. However, the Panthers continue to fight and would chip away at the Bulldog lead. Sam Chavez, Adam Galeas, and Sean Chavez all came to the mound for the Panthers, and held Hitchcock scoreless in their respective innings. Freshman Adam Galeas struck out all 5 batters he faced. In the bottom of the 7th, down by 1 run, the Panthers were able to scratch two more across to pull off the improbable come back.
